This is weird and crazy at the same time. Why will 2.6Million subscribers dump MTN Nigeria? That is too much a loss to bear. Could it be because MTN BBLITED was blocked? Why will 52,251 subscribers dump Etisalat? Something must be absolutely wrong somewhere.

According to a recent report released by NCC, It said that the number of subscribers that browsed the internet in January was put at 95.94 million; but reduced to 93.75 million in the month of February.
The data revealed those internet users on both the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) and the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) networks reduced by 2,194,162

The data showed that of the 93.75 million internet users in February, 93.6 million were on GSM networks, while 150,125 users were on the CDMA.

Of the 93.6 million internet users on the GSM networks in the month under review, MTN Nigeria had 35.6 million customers browsing the internet on its network.

MTN had a decrease of 2.6 million internet subscribers in February, after it recorded 38.21 million users in the month of January. In my own view I think is because of canceling of Bblited on android.

Globacom had 25.68 million customers surfing the net in February, as the number increased by 248,593 from the January’s record of 25.43 million.this is because their BlackBerry subscription on android remain unblocked as many nigerians are still enjoying it.

Airtel Nigeria, had 17 million internet users in the month of February, as against 16.85 million customers recorded in January.

It said that Internet users on the Airtel Nigeria network increased by 224,037 in February.my view on Airtel is because their BlackBerry subscription is not working on some device 

Etisalat had 15.23 million internet users in February, against the 15.28 million in January, hence, reducing by 52,251 in the month under review.

Today I’m going to give you the updated and latest data plans and their subscription codes for all networks in Nigeria, I.e, MTN, AIRTEL, GLO and ETISALAT. These plans work on all devices e.g laptops, pc, tablet, mobile phones, android so let’s go there!

1. MTN NIGERIA:

* For 2GB: Send “SPB to 131″ in a text message. It will cost
you N2,000 and will last for a complete one month.
* 4.5 GB day & Night: 30days, cost N2,500, Text ”120 to
131” in a message.
* 4.5GB: 1 Month, N2,500, To activate: Text ‘102 to 131’.
(Shared for Night & Day. i.e, 2.5GB day time, the remaining
2GB for night hours; 9pm to 9am).
* 2,015MB (2GB), @N2,015, 30days. Text ‘SPB to 131’.

2. ETISALAT NIGERIA

* For 1GB: Simply Dial *229*10*10# and will cost you
N500 | It will last for 24 hours. I simple rates this plan as
an emergency plan.
* For 1GB: Dial *5995*2#, cost N1,000. Last for 3 Days
(Week Ends).
* For 2GB: Dial; *229*2*8#, Cost N2,000, Validity: 30days.
* 1GB: dial *229*2*7#, N1,000, Validity: 30days. (Note: If it
selects your Etisalat SIM, simply use an INFINIX Hotnote
Android mobile to activate it with the desired SIM Card).

3. GLO NIGERIA:

* For 3GB: Send “COMONTH to 777” in a text message.
Cost N1,000 for a whole one month or dial *777*21#.
(Note: This process will only work on your android phone if
you had rooted + tweak your mobile phone into a Black
berry serial number before it will work for you)
*For heavy Internet Users:
* Text, 11 for 12GB @ N5,000
* 12 for 24GB @ N8,000
* 15 for 33GB @ N10,000
* 16 for 51GB @ N15,000
* 17 for 63GB @ N18,000
* 54 for 4.5GB @ N3,000
* 55 for 2.5GB @ N2,000
* 58 for 4.5GB @ N2,500 send all the above ‘codes’ to 127.
Or dial *127*(Code above)# and so on. And finally for help
on that ‘send info to 127’ in a text message.
* For 1,200MB (1.2GB): dial; *777#, enter 1, after that
choose one (1) again, then press 2 and lastly choose 1.
Valid for 30 days. or simply dial; *777# send to begin.

4. AIRTEL NIGERIA:

* For 3GB: Dial *440*16# cost N1,500 and will last for
30days.
* For 4GB: Dial *440*161# Cost N2,000 and will last you
for 1 month.
* For 9GB: Dial *438*1# Cost N3,500, Valid: for 30days.
* N1,000, 1GB, 30days, dial *496#.
* Opera-Mini Plan: 1 month, 260MB, N300, to activate: dial
*885*1#, Data Bal; *885*0#
  (Note: Works on all Apps
especially on Android OS, but not sure on Windows mobile.)

This plan is rated as one of the best ‘internet data
conservative plan in Nigeria’ by Brainnews NG).
* Weekend plan: *473#, 500MB, N500.
* 4.5GB: @N3,500, 1 month, With unlimited access to
Facebook, Twitter, BBM, Whatsapp & 2go .
* Weekend Plan 2: 1024MB (1GB), for just N100, dial
*474*1# to activate. Data Bal. Dial *140#. 
 Note: It can only be use on Weekends (Fri-Sun) and finally if it selects your
Airtel SIM, please try another, out of 10 SIMS two or more
may work for you

Cheapest Data Plan For All Android, iPhone, PC and BB Users in March

Let me first of all start by saying it’s a new months and I congratulates everyone. Lot’s has happened in the past few days and I’ll just summarize them below. You already know the data plans that suit you hence no need to aim for something exceptionally high.

MTN: MTN 0.0kb still working but not as effective as before but lots of you are rocking MTN Magic sim. The truth is, if you can’t risk N250 then don’t try it. I’d personally try it and it worked just fine; it may not support your sim but definitely it rocks like thunder.

How Can I Activate MTN Magic Sim?

>> Get any MTN sim 
>> Recharge with #250
>> subscribe to mtn 2hr data plan by Dialing *131*1*4*1# then N250 willbe deducted.
>> Browse for just 5minutes
>> Remove the sim and keep it for 24hrs
>> After 24hrs put the sim back and enjoy unlimited browsing with mtn.

Not just that but you can also get free 150MB data on your mtn sim by Sending GM to 2200. You’ll be given free 150MB on your MTN sim.

MTN BBLited: I know alots of you still uses BBLited with Psiphone or SAS, it still rocks without any speed throttling. See more guide regarding that here.

MTN 1hr Unlimited Internet Browsing Plan: MTN 60 minutes unlimited internet data bundle plan lets you surf the internet and download as much as you like for the duration of 1 hour. This plan is pegged at NGN150 per hour. To subscribe to this bundle, you’ll need check for eligibility first by dial the *567*59# USSD code and replying 1 to the prompt.

Etisalat: Etisalat seems to be fast this days but one thing I don’t really understand is the data zapping ish which is really annoying. Depending on how well you consume data, you can get Etisalat 1GB for N1,000 or 2GB for N2,000

Dial *229*2*7# For 1GB or 

Dial *229*2*8# for 2GB. This plan will last you if you are only concern with social media and current happenings.

Airtel: My beloved Airtel Nigeria secretly launched another plan some couples of weeks ago; unfortunately, it works only on Blackberry devices. With Just N1,000 you can get 3GB of data. Dial *431# to activate. Every other Airtel plan you know zaps data like NCC. 

However, I don’t know why Airtel Weekend data run normal in terms of data usage while others monthly plans zaps without integrity.

To all Android, PC and iOS users who still makes use of Airtel data plan, This plan works best for you… 3GB for N1,500. Dial *440*16#

Remember Airtel Timely Based Plan for Heavy Downloaders?
Airtel 1hr Unlimited Data Plan: Airtel 60 minutes unlimited data bundle plan lets you surf the internet and download as much as you like for the duration of 1 hour. NGN180 per hour. To subscribe to this bundle, send 60m to 439 or dial the *439# USSD code to select it from the options.

Airtel 1GB at NGN100 data plan: This internet data bundle plan lets you surf the internet during the weekend and works on most Airtel SIM. To subscribe, you’ll need dial *474*1# and *140# to check the data balance.

Glo: it will interest you to know that Glo have stopped Blackberry Comonth Subscription of N1,000 3GB which means that the only option you have is the N1,400 or N1,500 Absolute and Complete plan respectively. Dial *777# and follow the prompt.  Or dial *777*23#
