Nokia 6 actually gave a lot of fans in China today goosebumps, it went on on flash sales today and as was expected, it was sold out in just one minute. I’m guessing Nokia 6 will be one of the hottest selling mobile phone of 2017 because right now, over 130 million people have already registered showing their intention to have in possession Nokia 6 which cost about $245.

MTN Urge NG Government to Ban WhatsApp Messenger

Now MTN boss is suggesting that the federal government should take  action against WhatsApp because its affecting their services. In order words, ban whatsapp in Nigeria.

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of MTN Nigeria, Mr. Ferdinand Moolman,  disclosed that the activities of ‘over-the-top’ companies like WhatsApp, Viber have adverse effects on its business and affects the sustainability of Nigeria’s telecommunications industry.

… the MTN boss pointed out that these companies were eroding gains of Nigeria’s telecom companies and asked Nigeria to take action like the United Arab Emirates did.

WhatsApp Extend Support For BB Devices Till June 2017 Before Final Shut Down

WhatsApp announced back in February that it will no longer support its application by the end of 2016 on some older mobile platforms which includes BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1 and Android 2.2, Windows Phone 7, as well as iPhone 3GS/iOS 6.

However, WhatsApp changed their mind and announced again via a blog post to extend support for the following platforms until June 30, 2017: BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60.

As announced in our blog, we will soon be ending support for certain devices. On June 30, 2017, we will no longer support the following platforms: BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60.

Nokia DIC Surfaced, Sports Snapdragon 430 SoC, 3GB & Android 7.0

The once upon a time king of the ring Nokia is expected to make its fully return into the smartphone battle arena in 2017. This time around, they are coming in big, bold and better. A lot of leaks about the new incoming Nokia DIC has appeared online, first from Antutu benchmark and

today, another renders appeared on Weibo that claim to show the Nokia D1C. The images reveal that the phone will be available in Black, White and Gold. 

The leak also suggests that the gold edition comes with a fingerprint sensor whereas the White and black editions do not come with fingerprint sensor. As per the rumor, it may be released sometime in next year, but no specific date.We do suggest taking these images with the proverbial grain of salt.

The specs from AnTuTu show that the Nokia D1C will carry a display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 430 chipset drives the phone with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 505 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of internal storage. Good news guys, your favorite social chatting and one of the most popular messaging app in the world - WhatsApp, has finally started rolling out their Video calling feature. It is the feature that we have been expecting for long and now, it is up for grabs. Whatsapp is doing all things possible to remain top chatting platform in the world.

Few hours back, WhatsApp began rolling out Video calling features to some beta testers and I’m pretty sure before today ends, a lot of beta testers will be rocking WhatsApp video calling.

As long as you are a beta tester, you only need to update your WhatsApp if available to the latest beta version and you should be sure to receive the video calling features.

None beta testers should breathe easy up till the main update gets to Google Playstore.

Note that it went live only after updating to latest WhatsApp 2.16.318 Beta. Works only when both caller and receiver have latest beta version installed.
