MTN Urge NG Government to Ban WhatsApp Messenger

In the word of the wise, where there is no definition, there are bounds to be deviations. Earlier, we’ve heard all manner of suggestions to add tax to all calls longer than 3Min; followed by an attempted increase in the price of data…

Now MTN boss is suggesting that the federal government should take  action against WhatsApp because its affecting their services. In order words, ban whatsapp in Nigeria.

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of MTN Nigeria, Mr. Ferdinand Moolman,  disclosed that the activities of ‘over-the-top’ companies like WhatsApp, Viber have adverse effects on its business and affects the sustainability of Nigeria’s telecommunications industry.

… the MTN boss pointed out that these companies were eroding gains of Nigeria’s telecom companies and asked Nigeria to take action like the United Arab Emirates did.

You want to know what actions United Arab Emirates took? WhatsApp, snapchat calls banned in UAE… Inshort it can land you in Jail.

This is to tell you that even the Telcos are in supports for the data increase. What do you think will happen if WhatsApp is mistakenly ban in Nigeria?

HOW TO KNOW IF YOUR SMARTPHONE IS COMPATIBLE WITH MTN 4G NETWORK

It's no longer news that MTN now delivers 4G LTE services across Nigeria, thanks to successful acquisition of Visafone earlier this year.

However, the issue with using MTN 4G network which currently run on Band 7 (2600mHz) services is that MTN users need to swap their current SIM card with a 4G supported SIM from MTN office closest to you which is another bit of work on the customers side but not really a big deal when compared to the benefits of flexing the high speed network experience.

MTN have made it easier for you and me to check if our phones are compatible to receive the 4G services by introducing a new short message code and this is how it works;

Your Smartphone must have 4G network features
 Now text 4G to 131

And you should receive an SMS instantly if your device is eligible

Yello! Your device is 4G ready but you need to upgrade your SIM to enjoy tMTN 4G LTE

Finally, just head over to any MTN office around your area once your phone is compatible and request for 4G SIM swap and you are good to go.

Are you rocking 4G phone? Do you know that MTN, Ntel, Smile etc have several 4G LTE data plans for you? See below links;

Meanwhile, if you are still on 3G network... Hmmmm no words for now. Maybe after recessions

MTN 4G LTE Data Plans Now Available... too cheap or too expensive?

We’ve been waiting for a very long time to dissect MTN 4G LTE network , It appears its now available but I don’t think it is in all state yet.

I took some minutes to wonder and ponder if actually we have 4G LTE in Nigeria, another question bump into my mind, which is, should 4G LTE data plans be different from normal data plans? A lot of us thought MTN will work with the available normal data plans but Alas! They have 4G data plans which I want you to take a look at.

MTN Unveils Another Plan 7GB + 2GB For N2000

This is what we call a worthy data plan. A worthy data plan is a plan that gives you 100% value of what you pay for.

MTN unveil this plan this week at the Africa's Biggest tech event in Lagos-Nigeria by TechPlus

Normally, 3.5GB data goes for N2000; but this time, MTN at TechPlus applied the multipliers effect that gives you 7GB of data for just N2000. I know you love it when you get big data for lesser amount. This is exactly 100% bonus.

It is a new plan, a new deal for those who think they value the use of data.

Will it Work on My Device?

Yes, it will work on all eligible devices including the un-repented Symbian phones.

How Can I Get This Plan?

>>Load N2000 on your MTN line

>>Send 2016 to 131 and you'll receive a message that you have been credited with 7GB on Tech+ 100% Dealzone.

But do you know what…. You can even get upto 9GB with your N2000… Ask me How?

It is pretty simple. MTN is currently on weekend promo called WowWeekend. This is how wow weekend works, when you recharge any amount, you get free data e.g, when you recharge N200, you get free 100MB. When you recharge N500 and above, you get free 1GB.

Load your line with MTN airtime of N2,000 and you’ll get free 2GB usable only from Friday to Sunday. You can then use your N2000 to get 7GB of data making it 9GB.

It is time to choose which network is your best when it comes to data.

MTNSurprise: How To Subscribe To MTN 5GB + N2560 Airtime For Just N2000

While i was still reviewing the recent
3.75GB MTN data plan recently launched, another one just graced my day. I think this is far better than others and i salute MTN for it.

Before now, we use to pay N2,500 to subscribe for MTN 4.5GB data but now you can get 5GB including free N2560 Airtime to call any network for just N2000. Isn't that a good development by MTN? Though we expect more affordable data plans but this one is one step closer to achieving that

How To Activate This Data Plan
==> If you are not on MTN TrueTalk, Simply migrate to MTN Truetalk by dialing *400#
==> Recharge N2000 on your MTN line
==> Send D2000 to 131 in an SMS to get the offer. Both the data and call is valid for 30days.
Check your account balance with *556# and you will see the airtime. You can also dial *559# to check your data balance.
Wait! There is another one...
Do you know you can as well get N1950 free credit and 100MB data with only N500?
To get this, you must be on MTN TrueTalk tariff plan, then load your line with N500 and SMS V500 to 131 you will be given both the data and airtime but this time, its valid for just 7 days.
I am expecting competition from from other networks like Etisalat, Airtel and glo. They need to counter MTN or they loose a good number of their customers especially this period of free data scarcity. With more competition, the subscribers will gain.

Get your musicplus working again here

About 70% of people browsing with MTN musicplus recently noticed that it stopped working again some hours ago and this has already kept so many people offline as musicplus is one of the few free and cheapest mtn browsing trick available at the moment.

Well, while some are complaining that it has stopped, others are still flexing it with passion but what is the secret? The truth is that some of the previously working proxy servers has been disabled by mtn so what you should do now is to change the proxy to a valid one.

WORKING MTN MUSICPLUS PROXY SERVER
The proxy server is jumia.com.ng
Or http://jumia.com.ng
Or www.jumia.com.ng

With this your MTN musicplus plus should work again.
