We all are aware of the trending airtel 3GB for 1000 naira data plan which is currently helping so many people. Okay. What if i tell you that you can still use the same 1000 naira to get 4GB worth of data including an additional free N1000 airtime to make calls?
Yes it is possible BUT there are few things involved and you have to study this post carefully in other not to make mistakes. Follow the guidelines below.
NOTE
This package works perfectly for new airtel lines. Older ones that are being used on MTK android phones also works perfectly with it but if you are using a non MTK device with an old airtel SIM, you will only be eligible for 3GB with that N1000 subscription.
HOW TO ACTIVATE AIRTEL 4GB FOR N1000
=> Get a new Airtel sim or older one used in an MTK android phone.
=> Make sure the SIM is registered. You will be immediately welcomed to the "Welcome To Airtel plan"
=> Recharge N1000 on your Airtel sim card using this ussd code *555*Card Pin# in that format.
=> You will be credited with 1GB worth of Internet data and 1k bonus airtime for only Airtel to Airtel calls
=> You can check your data balance and bonus by dialing this ussd code *556#
=> Now dial this ussd code *431# to subscribe to the Airtel 3gb plan for 1000 remember it is the BIS plan that works on android devices if you have changed your IMEI to that of a BB10
=> You will be given 3GB data but in some devices, you might see an error message.
=> Just ignore the message, your N1000 will be deducted and you will then be credited with the 3gb worth of Internet data.
=> Also to check you new data balance, just dial *140#
=> At this point you have a total of the 4gb worth of data plus 1k free airtime with only 1000 naira
Even if you don't change your IMEI, the first 1GB data given to you will work on your phone but if you want to use the 3GB data, you will have to tweak your IMEI to that of a BB10 device.
That is it guys. Although i haven't tested it myself as i still have an active data on both of my airtel SIMs, will switch to this method soon as i exhaust them. But according very reliable friends of mine, this is working perfectly especially on new SIM. If your old sim doesn't work, you still have nothing to loose as you will still be given 3GB worth of data with 1k.

All the airtel users in the house, have you noticed the new option on Facebook app? Once you launch the app with your airtel line in your phone, Facebook will present you with two options to either use free Facebook or use Facebook with data.
Now, if you are in a situation that requires you save your data or if you don't have data at all on your SIM, you don't have to worry at all as facebook got your back. Simply select the free facebook option and start facebooking free of charge although some pictures might not appear while using the free version.
You can recall that Facebook partnered with Airtel recently to provide free basic internet browsing in Nigeria. This allows Nigerians with no data on their phone to still access the web on lowkey
I know some of you are still using etisalat social me with Psiphon but the speed throttling is completely out of this world. When it comes to weekend, I always makes use of simpler data plans most especially if the network is super-fast. I suspend my normal data and just toggle around with something simple like Airtel 100 for 1GB or Mtn unlimited daily plan of N150. But I noticed a lots of people are not using this plan.
Some are saying they are not eligible for the Airtel weekend plan and I wonder how possible could that be. You can easily enable your sim to use Airtel 1GB for N100 simply by calling CC.
Airtel unlimited night plan is majorly for downloading, and it's super-fast, but lots of people are not using it… Whatever your reasons might be, I’ll suggest you give it a shot or tell us why you are not using it.

Airtel Nigeria has said the introduction of Smart Number service, an innovation that allows Nigerian subscribers to use an additional line on their already in use Airtel SIM card, yet maintaining a single mobile phone is unique.
The new package is designed to empower owners of small businesses, entrepreneurs, top executives and professionals who wish to improve productivity as well as separate their professional/social and personal mobile lines while maintaining the use of a single phone and SIM card.
The Smart Number is a virtual number mapped to customer’s primary mobile line so that both lines can be used on a single phone. With this service, customer can define and determine the period when the Smart number is made active and reachable in order to make or receive calls and send or receive SMS.
Commenting on the new package, Enterprise Director, Airtel Nigeria, Tawa Bolarin, said the telco is intensely interested in defining new path and innovative ways of empowering and improving the productivity of professionals, top executives and business owners.
“The Smart Number service is intended to make life better, simpler and more enjoyable for business professionals. It is an innovative way of boosting productivity and driving business performance. Airtel will continue to pioneer new initiatives that will empower entrepreneurs and business professionals,” she said.
Apart from the user-controlled option, other features of the Smart Number include voice mail, call transfer, and value-added services such as conference call, group SMS, etc. Also, Airtel customers using Smart Number can conveniently maintain privacy and security by screening unwanted calls.
The Airtel Smart Number, which comes in two different packages – Basic and Plus – is available on monthly subscription for both pre-paid and post-paid customers on the network.
To subscribe for the package, customers can send ‘SUB’ as text to 619 and reply with either 1 or 2 to choose either the ‘Basic’ or ‘Plus’ package. Customers can also call the IVR on 618 and listens to the menu option to subscribe and manage the service.
The Smart Number can call/send text to all networks except international calls/text. To make calls or send through the Smart number, the subscriber is required to dial/text 66 before dialling the recipient’s number. Inbound call on the Smart Number is identifiable as 66 prefix appears before the eleven digits of the caller’s number.
The Smart Number, however, cannot be directly recharged with airtime so the airtime is drawn from the customer’s primary line.
According to Airtel, customers will also need to register the Smart number to ensure full KYC compliance.
This is weird and crazy at the same time. Why will 2.6Million subscribers dump MTN Nigeria? That is too much a loss to bear. Could it be because MTN BBLITED was blocked? Why will 52,251 subscribers dump Etisalat? Something must be absolutely wrong somewhere.
According to a recent report released by NCC, It said that the number of subscribers that browsed the internet in January was put at 95.94 million; but reduced to 93.75 million in the month of February.
The data revealed those internet users on both the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) and the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) networks reduced by 2,194,162
The data showed that of the 93.75 million internet users in February, 93.6 million were on GSM networks, while 150,125 users were on the CDMA.
Of the 93.6 million internet users on the GSM networks in the month under review, MTN Nigeria had 35.6 million customers browsing the internet on its network.
MTN had a decrease of 2.6 million internet subscribers in February, after it recorded 38.21 million users in the month of January. In my own view I think is because of canceling of Bblited on android.
Globacom had 25.68 million customers surfing the net in February, as the number increased by 248,593 from the January’s record of 25.43 million.this is because their BlackBerry subscription on android remain unblocked as many nigerians are still enjoying it.
Airtel Nigeria, had 17 million internet users in the month of February, as against 16.85 million customers recorded in January.
It said that Internet users on the Airtel Nigeria network increased by 224,037 in February.my view on Airtel is because their BlackBerry subscription is not working on some device
Etisalat had 15.23 million internet users in February, against the 15.28 million in January, hence, reducing by 52,251 in the month under review.
Were you part of those that dump MTN & Etisalat? But why?
